Saviors of the Music Industry
by: Nuwri Ghostleaf
The day is Thursday 11/13/2014, music industry on the verge of Collapse. Saviors of the Music Industry are those super heroes who have gone before most if not all the current label major artists who seem not to be able to get the job done.
Will the public take the Red or the Blue music pill? Blue being those great artists whose music has stood the test of time and mostly all of today’s artists have drawn on their super musical powers for years. Or will it be the Red I want to get my musical high now fix. The paradox here is that no matter which, the matrix of technology has lead us to believe that Taylor Swift and Spodify won’t fix the insatiable music appetite of music lovers world wide.
Before I begin let me make this perfectly clear.I write strictly from the heart and the majority of the time straight to the point, depending on the subject matter. I’m not trying to win a literary prize for I know those awards mainly go to writers who’s ambitions are New York Times Washington Post Wall Street Journal kind of honors.
With all due respect to ALL eyes that see read and hear this,no disrespect to your intelligence,I just want to have Written Verbal Conversations with you as the friend I see you as.Sincerely: Nuwri Ghostleaf
The answer has always been in plain sight but just not being recognized by their being over looked as too old for the young music buying crowd of millennials. They the younger generations won’t relate to their music when it’s been their music they have been hearing subliminally all along in the background.
Musical Super Heroes like:
David Bowie – ’Tis A Pity She Was A Whore
New song 2014.
Stevie Wonder concert at the Verizon Center 10/9/14

This is not even the tip of the iceberg of Great talent that can save the industry. But and here is the big but not like the sex crazed BUTT you are so accustomed to i.e. Kim K, Iggy A, JLo and let me not forget Nikki M.
Jennifer Lopez – Booty ft. Iggy Azalea

As much as they are the powers that be, the Ozers behind the curtain would like to have you believe, Taylor can’t do this alone, Love her music both the Country and Pop styles, but 1 modern day artists will not bring back the thriving $32 Billion dollar industry you are hoping for. What the Saviors of the Music Industry can do for this quickly dying beloved by many worldwide can’t live without industry is take away the Kryptonite.
Who or what is this Kryptonite you might be asking, well some say it’s Spodify Piracy Downloading of music FREE (now ain’t that a kick in the head). All the platforms that advocate saying music should be free. Well for those who feel that way, go to your employer and tell them you now effective immediately will be working for you guessed it FREE! let’s see how that differs from a musician or song writer who makes their living by writing and playing music.
Oh now you are getting a better vision of why it shouldn’t be that dreaded 4 letter word.
Can this all be blamed on technology or the ineptitude of those in the power positions to not listen to the younger generational ears that were singing the song “Have You Hear of The Internet”.
Imagine for one moment with the power of Facebook Google Youtube Twitter Pinterest Linked and all the other platforms to push I mean really get behind the foundation of the what and who was selling real music to build it to a $32 Billion dollar industry, you’d be financially and pleasantly surprised at the response.
Those that weren’t listening like congress though then president Clinton did sigh into law the DMCA. Not good enough in today’s musical world. When congress won’t put the clamps down on Google for not going at the piracy sites harder we ALL will suffer.
If radio and the Wizards of control would get behind these super heroes and push their current and soon to be released cd’s, you will see a change not only in sales but in mindset of current artists with a stronger Respect and Value for the great artistry we seem to be taking for granted.
This could be a 2000 word article, but I’ll just let you ponder on what I’ve covered and you think about it, share the thoughts to others.
